Hello my lovely readers. Valentines day is approaching, as we all know, and the abundance of romantic and pretty clothes, shoes and accessories are often overwhelming. Although Valentines day isn't really a holiday in my mind (but come on, which girl doesn't like to get a present on this day?), I love all the soft and gorgeous clothes that stores have on display. Especially dresses. Ruffles, lace and bows have their place, and it's definitely during this time of the year.
I wanted to show you some pictures of this incredibly romantic collection by French designer Alexis Mabille. He was the creator of that yummy Chanel inspired cake that I posted on much earlier. His collections, although dated prior to 2010, all have such a soft romanticism about them which I love to see.
Tell me, do you like these designs too? And what are some of your favourite picks for valentines day?
PS, I would greatly appreciate it if you, my dear commenters, would be able to give me some feedback on what you would like to see on this blog in the future. Did you want me to do some outfit posts (I'm a bit shy, but if you would like to see these sorts of things, the could be arranged)? More giveaways? Just let me know it all. I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I will promise to become a more active blogger as soon as this week is over and my midterms are all finished.
what a gorgeous collection! i agree, it's very romantic:) i love the dresses especially the first above (w/the off shoulder detail). love the teddy pendant u picked for v-day. too cute! have a great weekend!

i totally dig the skull pin. i'm not one for valentines day...but i do love anything pretty. i love lace and ruffles and I love the kind of rough and messy way that it's being styled.
ReplyDeleteSo that designer raided my closet for leftovers for his collection huh? Pretty lame. My cat pendent can kick your teddy bear's pendent shiny metal butt anytime. But its cute nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteHere's some suggestions for your blog for the future - profile me! After all, I am just that fabulous! It's about time the world knows it too. Also you need more grit in your blog. Start by profiling assless leather chaps and see where you end up from there.
Love,
Your Sister
I would love to see outfit of the days! That ring is gorgeous- who was the seller on ebay?
ReplyDeleteOooooo, this looks fabulouss :)
ReplyDeletethese are such gorgeous designs and they all have a different romantic feel to them :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I so adore the collages you've created for this post - there's nothing better than bows and lace! I would give absolutely anything for that little purse in the very first picture.
ReplyDeleteI think that outfit posts would be fun; but I like your content as is. You always post such wonderful inspiration photographs!! :)
The purse in the first picture is absolutely adorable! Do you do your collages in Photoshop? They are really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I adore seeing ruffles and florals, it isn't really my personal look. But I can totally appreciate the beauty of the examples that you have posted here.
I always love seeing outfit posts, but only if you are comfortable doing them!
The bear pendant looks so cute! I don't know why but lately I've been into teddy bears! :P
ReplyDeleteand I would love to see your outfit posts! <3

ReplyDeleteIncredibly pretty!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see outfit posts. Also, I don't know if this just concerns me, but I find that a lot of your pictures are really huge so I have to scroll up and down and left and right just to see the whole thing... it would be a bit easier if your pictures were slightly smaller :)
Gorgeous collage, darling!
ReplyDeleteLove those back seam pants!
xoxox,
CC
i love it all !
ReplyDeleteand love that ring :)
I love that romanticism can be expressed in so many different ways, and it doesn't just mean feminine. I really like the pics of the lace skirt and the back seamed pants, and def the gold shimmery dress.
ReplyDeleteI think you're blog should express who you are, so do whatever you're comfortable with - it's already very interesting and the pics are always lovely.

Those designs are absolutely breathtaking. And I love that teddy bear pendant!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm I like your blog as it is... outfit posts are always fun, but I'm a bit shy in front of the camera as well, so I know how you feel!
Gorgeous collage!! Yes, more outfit posts are great! I love your blog, so what you are doing now is really great, too :)

ReplyDeleteHmm my fav picks are that teddy pendant of course, and the bow tied purse - it's just so prim I have to love it!
ReplyDeleteI think you should just do what you want to do on your blog. Whatever interests you is what you should write about, so don't do outfit posts just b/c you see others doing it. I think you're doing a great job w/your blog so far, so your instincts can't be wrong!
What a fantastic collection of photos!
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend was great!
Happy new week,
Federica.
xoxo

The collection is so dreamy. Love it!I'll go for lace, ruffles and bows too although for this Valentines Day, I'll opt for the tried and tested classic LBD and pearls.;)
ReplyDeleteDrooling over that Teddy Bear pendant. It's so cute!
I'd say, more outfit photos of you? ;) I always get my outfit inspiration from fashion bloggers like you. :)
PS: I'm with you on wearing tights or even stockings underneath the pants. So uncomfortable,no?

Spectacular color combinations, beautiful accessories and that gorgeous gold filled fabric! Absolutely beautiful! I love visiting your Blog and always look forward to beautiful pictues and wonderful posts. I would suggest not changing anything. :-) You are a beautiful person and it doeas shine through every post you do.
ReplyDeleteAlexis Mabille has a way of making the most feminine and charming pieces without having them look cheesy or contrived. I love the ruffles and the sheer looks in the lowest row!
ReplyDeleteAnd I wouldn't change anything about your blog. If you're shy about doing outfit posts, don't cave in to any pressure unless you truly feel comfortable doing so. The most important thing is to stay true to yourself and the vision you had for your blog. To many out there try too hard to please readers and end up being the same.
I think I need those purple shoes! They are to die for! Thanks for visiting my giveaway over @ bonbon girls! If you would like the earrings or the charm bracelet from Stella & Dot I can get you discounted shipping! Just email me. Beth.peele@gmail.com. Have a great day:)
ReplyDeleteoh, that is so cute!!!! i love everything! the shoes are to die for.
