Update: P90x Week one

Honestly, I am on fire. There are no words to describe the amount of pain that I am in. But it's a good kind of pain. I can feel that I pushed my body to the limit today and yesterday with the kenpo X and Legs and Back workouts. My legs cannot move right now and I'm loving it. So far I've tried the Kenpo X workout (which is martial arts and cardio), Cardio X, Legs & Back, a bit of Ab Ripper X (honestly, I cannot get through this, but I'm going to keep trying over the next couple of week to get through all of it), Yoga X (this one is super tough and reminded me of how inflexible I am), and Core Synergistics (by far the hardest because I can't do half of what Tony is asking). I haven't been following the "lean" schedule thoroughly, I've just been doing what feels right that day. But I think next week I'm going to stick with the schedule. It was probably created for a reason. But I've gotten my sister on board as well, and it's so helpful to have someone to work out with to keep you motivated to do the entire hour workout everyday. That, and even if I'm sweating buckets in front of her, I know that she will not judge me! The burn after the workout got better after the first couple days. But the intensity is always there. I can't wait to get through the entire month of it and see how my body has changed!

Also, our post-workout treat has been to load on this bath and bodyworks Coconut Lime Verbena cream. This cream is so yummy to smell, I kind of want to eat it. Is that bad?

  1. Your sister's incredibly unfit legs hate you for suckering them into this get fit scheme. And I already have a fork and knife prepared to chase you with when you use that coconut cream *delicious*

    Love,

    Your Sister

  4. That's awesome that you got your sister involved. A workout buddy is always a huge help in any fitness routine. haha I can't imagine slathering myself in cream after an exhausting session like that! I'd be way too sweaty to think of slathering on anything that isn't ice cream :p

  5. Wow!! I love your athletic determination! You will have one suh-mokin' bod - which you probably have already. :D Keep it up! I wish I was like that, usually after a tough workout, I get sore, tired and stop. Haha. xD

    Love,
    Erin :)

  11. I've heard this is a tough program! But I'm super impressed that you're giving it a shot! I work out relatively regularly, but I'm not sure I have the guts for this one! Good luck, I can't wait to read more!

  12. Wow, you're doing the P90X!! I'm so impressed!!

I did the Power 90 last year (the easier version of P90X) and I lost a total of 6 inches from around my waist, thighs and arms. It really works! And considering the P90X is even more extreme, I'm sure you'll be super fit in no time.

My only regret is I stopped after the 2nd month and have not worked out again for 8 months now. So I gained back all those pounds again. But I tell myself it's not too bad if it only takes 2 months to lose them again.

Goodluck and keep on posting your progress! You got me so inspired to start again. =)
